AbCellera Biologics Inc. announced positive top-line results from the Phase 2 portion of its Phase 1/2 clinical trial for ABCL635, an investigational neurokinin 3 receptor antagonist antibody. The study met primary efficacy endpoints in 92 postmenopausal women, demonstrating a statistically significant reduction in moderate-to-severe vasomotor symptoms after a single subcutaneous dose. At week 4, the treatment group showed an 83% mean percent reduction in symptom frequency compared to 33% for placebo, with a 50 percentage point placebo-adjusted difference. Severity scores decreased by 58% versus 12%, yielding a 46 percentage point adjusted difference. The drug also significantly improved sleep and patient global impression of change, with no serious adverse events reported in the treatment arm.
