On August 11, 2026, AC Immune SA announced it received Fast Track designation and Investigational New Drug (IND) application clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its anti-alpha-synuclein active immunotherapy candidate, ACI-7104, intended to treat early-stage Parkinson’s disease. The company also disclosed a $4 million research grant from the Vijay and Marie Goradia Charitable Foundation to support the extension of Part 1 of the VacSYn Phase 2 trial for an additional two years. Interim results at 76 weeks demonstrated safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity with a 100% responder rate, while final week-100 results are expected in the second half of 2026.
