BIPCBrookfield Infrastructure Corp
Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP) unitholders voted overwhelmingly in favor of resolutions approving the proposed corporate structure simplification at a special meeting held on October 14, 2026. Over 99% of votes cast supported both the plan of arrangement and the amendment to BIP’s limited partnership agreement, including over 99% from minority unitholders as required under Multilateral Instrument 61-101. Approximately 60% of outstanding BIP units were represented at the meeting. The conversion into a Canadian corporation is not conditional on approval by Brookfield Infrastructure Corporation (BIPC) shareholders but is expected to close before the end of 2026, subject to a final court order from the Supreme Court of British Columbia anticipated around November 3, 2026. BIPC shareholders are reminded that their separate vote will occur at a rescheduled special meeting on October 29, 2026. Brookfield Infrastructure is a leading global infrastructure company owning and operating assets in utilities, transport, midstream, and data sectors.
