Ballard launches HPU Agile-H, an 80kW towable hydrogen power unit for mobile clean energy applications

Ballard Power Systems has launched the HPU Agile-H, a lightweight, towable Hydrogen Power Unit designed to provide mobile alternative power. Developed by GeoPura and manufactured by Siemens Energy, the unit is powered by a Ballard fuel cell combined with integrated battery storage to deliver 80kW of continuous power. It targets lower loads, short-term projects, remote locations, and grid-limited operations across the UK, Europe, and North America. Pre-orders are open now, with deliveries scheduled for Q1 2027. The launch follows Ballard's acquisition of GeoPura, expanding its hydrogen ecosystem capabilities.
