Braveheart Bio presents positive 52-week data for HRS/BHB-1893 in obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
BRVEBraveheart Bio, Inc.
Braveheart Bio presented long-term efficacy and safety data from the 52-week open-label extension of its Phase 2 study of HRS/BHB-1893, an investigational cardiac myosin inhibitor for obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (oHCM). At Week 52, 79% of patients achieved a Valsalva left ventricular outflow tract gradient below 30 mmHg, and peak oxygen uptake improved by a mean of 2.7 mL/kg/min. The data also showed improvements in patient-reported outcomes and suggested potential reverse-remodeling with attenuated biomarker rebound after treatment cessation. Additionally, preclinical and clinical analyses indicated the drug improves diastolic function in non-obstructive HCM while preserving systolic performance. Braveheart Bio is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing therapies for patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
