Boston Scientific promotes Joe Fitzgerald to COO and appoints Mark Bickel as Chief Accounting Officer

Boston Scientific appointed Joseph M. Fitzgerald as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective January 1, 2027. Fitzgerald will oversee global operations, business units, and regions under a new three-segment structure: Interventional Therapies, Rhythm Solutions, and MedSurg. He receives an annual base salary of $1,050,000 and a $7 million equity grant. The company also appointed Mark Bickel as Senior Vice President, Global Accounting Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, effective March 1, 2027, succeeding Emily Woodworth. Boston Scientific develops and markets medical devices for cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, oncological, neurological, and urological conditions.
