Cisco appoints Girish Rishi, CEO of Cognite, to its Board effective Oct. 9

On October 7, 2026, the Board of Directors appointed Girish D. Rishi, currently CEO of Cognite Holding B.V., as a new independent director on Cisco Systems' board, with his service beginning on October 9, 2026. The company has not yet assigned him to specific committees. In connection with this appointment, Mr. Rishi will receive standard non-employee director compensation, including a pro rata portion of the $105,000 annual cash retainer and an initial equity award valued at a pro rata share of $270,000 under Cisco’s 2005 Stock Incentive Plan. He has also entered into a standard indemnity agreement with the company. Cisco Systems, Inc. designs, manufactures, and sells networking hardware, software, and other related technologies.
