CSI Solar posts Q3 net loss of RMB395M, revenue falls 42.6% amid price pressure

CSI Solar Co., Ltd., a majority-owned subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc., reported a third-quarter net loss attributable to shareholders of RMB394.9 million (approximately $54.7 million), compared to a profit in the prior-year period. Revenue declined 42.6% year-over-year to RMB5.86 billion, driven by intensifying industry competition and downward pressure on product prices that reduced shipment volumes in the solar segment. For the first nine months of 2026, CSI Solar recorded a net loss of RMB95.3 million on revenue of RMB18.6 billion. The company also disclosed it has repurchased approximately 1.04% of its total share capital through the Shanghai Stock Exchange, spending RMB365.3 million to date.
