Community Trust Bancorp reported third-quarter 2026 net income of $25.9 million, or $1.43 basic earnings per share, compared to $29.6 million in the prior quarter and $23.9 million a year earlier. Total revenue rose $1.2 million sequentially and $8.2 million year-over-year, driven by a $5.5 million increase in net interest income and a $2.7 million rise in noninterest income. The provision for credit losses increased significantly to $9.2 million from $2.8 million in the second quarter, largely due to an $8.7 million commercial loan charge-off. Noninterest expense decreased slightly to $36.5 million. For the nine months ended September 30, 2026, net income totaled $82.7 million, or $4.58 per share. The company operates as a community bank holding company with assets of $7.1 billion across Kentucky, West Virginia, and Tennessee.
