Cytokinetics announced positive Phase 3 ACACIA-HCM trial results for aficamten in patients with symptomatic non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The drug met both dual primary endpoints, showing statistically significant improvements in patient-reported symptoms (KCCQ-CSS) and exercise capacity (pVO2) versus placebo at Week 36. Based on these findings, the company plans to submit a supplemental New Drug Application to the FDA in the fourth quarter of 2026.
