DDDuPont de Nemours, Inc.

DuPont de Nemours, Inc., along with The Chemours Company and Corteva Inc., entered into a settlement agreement to resolve PFAS-related claims brought by the State of North Carolina and eleven local entities regarding emissions from the Fayetteville Works facility. The total aggregate cash payment is $455 million, payable over 15 years, with DuPont recording a pre-tax probable loss of approximately $125 million in discontinued operations for its share after accounting for reimbursement obligations from Qnity Electronics. Additionally, the parties established a $135 million reserve fund to secure Chemours' performance under a separate consent order. This legal resolution impacts DuPont's financial liabilities and operational risk profile within the chemical manufacturing industry.
