The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) determined that the single-shot ARWEN Micro (Pro-1) is not a "Destructive Device" under federal law, classifying it as an "Any Other Weapon." This classification removes significant regulatory barriers to selling U.S.-manufactured units to civilian buyers. The company plans to begin selling the Pro-1 to the U.S. civilian market as early as Q2 2027. DEFSEC Technologies Inc. develops and commercializes next-generation tactical systems for military and security forces, including less-lethal products.
