EHCEncompass Health Corp

Encompass Health indefinitely closed its 90-bed Sea Pines Rehabilitation Hospital in Melbourne, Florida, following substantial flood damage from sustained torrential rains on November 1-2. All patients were safely evacuated and employees accounted for. The joint venture owner is evaluating alternatives for refurbishing or replacing the facility. During closure, the hospital will incur remediation and operating expenses, which Encompass Health intends to exclude from non-GAAP measures. The company reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, including net operating revenue of $6,450 million to $6,500 million and adjusted earnings per share of $6.23 to $6.37. Sea Pines contributed approximately $14 million to Adjusted EBITDA in the first nine months of 2026. Encompass Health is the largest owner and operator of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in the United States.
