Copel agrees to sell 23% stake in Dona Francisca Hydroelectric Plant for R$150M

Copel entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with Gerdau S.A. to sell its 23.03% equity interest in Dona Francisca Energética S.A. (DFESA), which operates the Dona Francisca Hydroelectric Plant. The transaction is valued at an enterprise value of R$ 150.0 million and will be paid in a single installment upon closing. This divestment is intended to optimize its portfolio and concentrate on larger assets. Copel is an energy utility company operating in the power generation and generation/transmission/distribution sectors in Brazil.
