Ethan Allen Interiors Inc.'s Board of Directors has initiated a formal, independent CEO succession process to replace Chairman, President and CEO M. Farooq Kathwari. The Board committed to announcing the next Chief Executive Officer no later than June 30, 2027, coinciding with the expiration of Mr. Kathwari's current employment agreement. An executive search firm is evaluating both internal and external candidates for the role. Mr. Kathwari will continue to lead management and execute strategic priorities during this transition period. He has agreed to remain a non-executive Board member until the 2027 annual meeting of stockholders, at which point he will step down from the Board. The company operates in the home furnishings industry as a vertically integrated manufacturer and retailer specializing in interior design services.
