Evergy Kansas Central entered into a Fifty-Fourth Supplemental Indenture to amend its 1939 Mortgage and Deed of Trust, providing the company with increased flexibility regarding debt issuance and property liens. The amendments remove several net earnings and financial tests for bond issuances and mergers, allow for the issuance of variable rate bonds, and eliminate the failure to discharge a judgment exceeding $100,000 as an event of default.
