EyePoint reports LUCIA Phase 3 trial of DURAVYU for wet AMD missed primary endpoint

EYPTEyePoint, Inc.

EyePoint announced topline results from the LUCIA pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial evaluating DURAVYU for wet age-related macular degeneration. The study failed to meet its primary endpoint of statistical non-inferiority in mean change in best corrected visual acuity versus on-label aflibercept control, despite demonstrating visual improvement and a favorable safety profile with redosing. Key secondary endpoints were met, including a 38% reduction in treatment burden and strong anatomic control at Week 56. The company plans additional analyses of the LUCIA and pooled Phase 3 datasets to assess next steps for wet AMD. Meanwhile, the pivotal Phase 3 DME program remains on track, with topline data from the COMO and CAPRI trials expected in the fourth quarter of 2027. EyePoint is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing innovative therapeutics for serious retinal diseases.
