Fomento Económico Mexicano, S.A.B. de C.V. (FEMSA) announced an accelerated share repurchase agreement to buy back up to USD $280 million of its American Depositary Shares through a derivative instrument with a U.S. financial institution. The final number of shares repurchased will be determined by the daily volume-weighted average ADS price during the term, less a discount, with final settlement expected before year-end 2026. This transaction aligns with FEMSA's capital allocation framework to enhance shareholder returns. FEMSA operates in the retail and beverage sectors, owning OXXO convenience stores and Coca-Cola FEMSA bottling operations across Latin America, Europe, and the United States.
