FingerMotion, Inc. entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with BlueFlare Energy Solutions Inc. to develop a distributed network of micro-scale edge AI inference compute sites across Western Canada. The collaboration utilizes BlueFlare’s BALA™ technology to balance AI inference workloads with bitcoin mining to optimize energy use from behind-the-meter natural gas sources. The parties are considering a non-binding term sheet for the PR1 Project in Alberta, which includes a 1.0 MW bitcoin mining container with 126 Bitmain Antminer S21 Pro ASICs and a subsequent 500 kW containerized AI inference compute data center. BlueFlare will provide host-operated services at a fixed rate of US$0.03 per kWh for an initial three-year term.
