Fortuna Mining Corp. received the Notice of Admissibility for its Diamba Sud Exploitation Permit application from Senegal’s Ministry of Mines and Geology on November 2, 2026. This milestone confirms regulatory compliance and positions the company to expect final government approval during the fourth quarter of 2026. The project has already secured its environmental decree, and Fortuna is advancing early works including engineering design and critical equipment procurement. Management anticipates making a formal final investment decision upon receipt of the permit, targeting first gold production in mid-2028 with an annualized output of approximately 500,000 ounces. The company operates precious metals mines in Argentina, Côte d’Ivoire, and Peru while developing new projects.
