Gilat awarded $28M contract to upgrade broadband connectivity in Peru's Ica region

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. announced that its Peruvian subsidiary, Gilat Perú, signed a $28 million agreement with Pronatel to upgrade broadband connectivity across the Ica region. The project aims to deliver internet speeds 20 times faster than current levels to 116 public institutions and provide free Wi-Fi in 30 public squares. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-2027, followed by a seven-year operational phase. This marks the fifth regional broadband upgrade in Peru since 2025.
