GUTSFractyl Health, Inc.
Fractyl Health announced a strategic reprioritization to concentrate resources on its lead product candidate, Revita, following positive pivotal results from the REMAIN-1 trial. The company will reduce its workforce by approximately 45% and discontinue internal development of its Rejuva gene therapy program while seeking strategic alternatives for that asset. Jay Caplan retired as President and Chief Product Officer effective October 30, 2026, with CEO Harith Rajagopalan assuming the President role. The company estimates $2 million in severance charges and expects quarterly cash burn to drop by roughly 50% to approximately $8 million by Q2 2027, extending its cash runway into mid-2027. Fractyl Health is a clinical-stage metabolic therapeutics company focused on pioneering novel approaches to treat obesity and type 2 diabetes.
