Hudbay files Definitive Feasibility Study for Copper World project with Mitsubishi JV

Hudbay Minerals Inc. filed a NI 43-101 Technical Report presenting the results of a Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and updated mineral reserve estimates for its 70%-owned Copper World project in Arizona. The study supports the initial investment by Hudbay and its joint venture partner, Mitsubishi Corporation, which contributed approximately $420 million in cash upon closing and will contribute an additional $180 million within 18 months. The Base Case contemplates a 15-year mine life with state and local permits only, while an Extension Case illustrates potential expansion onto federal lands requiring federal permits.
