ICICI Life names Sidharatha Mishra CEO to replace Anup Bagchi

The Board of Directors of ICICI Life Insurance Limited approved the appointment of Mr. Sidharatha Mishra as Managing Director and CEO, effective October 14, 2026 or upon receipt of regulatory approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India, whichever is later. This follows the resignation of outgoing MD & CEO Anup Bagchi, who departs on October 13, 2026 to pursue new career opportunities. Mr. Mishra will also serve as Chief Operating Officer starting October 6, 2026, and will be transferred from ICICI Bank Limited, where he currently heads digital channels and partnerships. The appointment is for a five-year term subject to requisite approvals. ICICI Life Insurance Limited operates in the life insurance industry.
