Immuron publishes Phase 2 Travelan results showing 50% reduction in ETEC adverse events
IMRNImmuron Ltd
Immuron Limited announced the publication of data from its Phase 2 clinical trial for once-daily oral Travelan in Scientific Reports. The study demonstrated a statistically significant 50% reduction in enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) challenge-related adverse events versus placebo, alongside reductions in moderate-to-severe and severe diarrhea. Although the trial missed its primary efficacy endpoints due to a lower-than-anticipated placebo attack rate reducing statistical power, results trended favorably across multiple clinically meaningful endpoints. The company plans to investigate a next-generation delayed-release capsule formulation with a higher payload in larger studies. Immuron Limited is an Australian biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing orally delivered targeted polyclonal antibodies for infectious diseases.
