On September 8, 2026, Inhibrx Biosciences announced primary endpoint results from the Phase 2 portion of its HexAgon study evaluating INBRX-106 plus pembrolizumab versus pembrolizumab monotherapy in first-line HNSCC. The combination arm achieved a confirmed objective response rate (cORR) of 48.3% compared to 26.5% for the control, with median progression-free survival (PFS) of 9.6 months versus 4.9 months. Efficacy was particularly pronounced in HPV-positive patients, who demonstrated an 80.0% cORR and a 90.0% six-month PFS rate compared to 33.3% and 33.0%, respectively. Inhibrx plans to expand the trial by approximately 50 additional HPV+ patients to support a potential accelerated regulatory pathway, followed by a Phase 3 confirmatory study. The company is also advancing INBRX-106 in perioperative non-small cell lung cancer with results expected mid-2027.
