Indonesia Energy commences drilling WK-5 well at Kruh Block to test deeper oil and gas formations

INDOIndonesia Energy Corp Ltd

Indonesia Energy Corporation announced the commencement of drilling operations on October 21, 2026, for its WK-5 well located within the company's approximately 63,000-acre Kruh Block in Sumatra, Indonesia. The well is planned to reach a total depth of approximately 5,200 feet, significantly deeper than the recently completed K-29 well which reached approximately 3,400 feet. This drilling program aims to evaluate additional oil and potential natural gas-bearing formations identified through previous 3-D seismic surveys. Successful production from WK-5 would complement ongoing output from K-29 and other producing wells, with oil sales directed to Pertamina, Indonesia's state-owned energy company. The company is also seeking regulatory approval to publicly disclose individual well production rates. Indonesia Energy Corporation Limited operates as an exploration and production company focused on acquiring and developing strategic energy projects in Indonesia.
