IonQ, Inc. completed its acquisition of SkyWater Technology, Inc., creating the only vertically integrated full-stack quantum platform company. The transaction closed on July 31, 2026, following receipt of required regulatory approvals. Under the agreement terms, SkyWater shareholders received $15.00 in cash and 0.4883 shares of IonQ common stock for each share held at closing. SkyWater will operate as a subsidiary under its existing name, with CEO Thomas Sonderman continuing to lead the unit while reporting to IonQ Chairman and CEO Niccolo de Masi. The combined entity plans to hold its second quarter earnings call on August 5, 2026.
