Jewett-Cameron agrees to sell surplus Oregon property to Washington County for $5.9M

Jewett-Cameron Trading Company Ltd.'s subsidiary, JC USA Inc., entered into a Purchase and Sale Agreement with Washington County to sell real property located at 31345 NW Beach Rd., Hillsboro, Oregon, for $5,900,000. The buyer deposited $200,000 in earnest money via a promissory note convertible to non-refundable cash under certain conditions. Closing is expected within 15 days after the expiration of the due diligence period, subject to approval by the Washington County Board of Commissioners and satisfaction of other customary conditions. Proceeds will first reduce any outstanding amounts on the company's credit facility with Northrim Funding Services, though no amounts are currently owed.
