Novo Nordisk terminates collaboration with Korro Bio; effective February 2027

KRROKorro Bio, Inc.

Novo Nordisk A/S elected to terminate its research collaboration and license agreement with Korro Bio for convenience, providing 90 days' prior written notice. The termination becomes effective on February 1, 2027. Under the original September 2024 agreement, Novo Nordisk received an exclusive worldwide license for a cardiometabolic target but did not nominate a second target or earn any milestone payments. Korro previously received a $10.0 million upfront payment and R&D cost reimbursements. The parties had paused activities in November 2025; Korro completed the wind-down of related research and development in 2025. Novo Nordisk will reimburse Korro for additional third-party wind-down costs and non-cancellable committed expenses, while retaining its ownership interest in specific intellectual property. Korro Bio is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company leveraging an RNA-editing platform to develop genetic medicines for rare diseases.
