Krystal Biotech reports over 80% regression in basal cell carcinoma lesions with KB113 in Gorlin syndrome pilot

Krystal Biotech announced positive clinical data from a pilot study of KB113, an HSV-1-based immunotherapy for Gorlin syndrome. In the three-patient trial, over 80% of assessed basal cell carcinoma lesions regressed, with more than half showing greater than 50% reduction and eight lesions achieving at least 90% regression. Histological biopsies confirmed complete response in all three patients. The treatment was well-tolerated with only mild to moderate adverse events.
