Kazia Therapeutics reported that its lead asset, paxalisib, achieved a 100% clinical benefit rate in six evaluable patients with Stage IV triple-negative breast cancer. Five patients demonstrated an objective response, including one complete metabolic response and four partial responses, while the sixth patient experienced stable disease. The treatment showed no serious adverse events related to paxalisib and resulted in median reductions of 83% in circulating tumor cell clusters and 51% in terminally exhausted T cells. Enrollment in the Phase 1b trial is expected to complete by July 2027.
