Largo Inc. received approval from Brazil's National Mining Agency (ANM) to produce and sell copper concentrates with platinum group metals (PGM) as by-products at its Maracás Menchen mine in Bahia, Brazil. The company is commencing the ramp-up of this production using existing ilmenite flotation infrastructure, temporarily suspending ilmenite concentrate output to maximize copper-PGM yield. Industrial-scale tests confirmed the technical and commercial viability of recovering platinum, gold, palladium, silver, cobalt, and nickel. Management expects higher profit margins from these by-products compared to ilmenite and plans to provide production guidance in its quarterly earnings report on August 14, 2026. Largo Inc. is the world's largest primary vanadium producer.
