LightPath completes sale of China subsidiary, removing $4.5M in annual revenue

LightPath Technologies closed the previously announced divestiture of its wholly owned Chinese subsidiary, LightPath (Zhenjiang) Optical Instrumentation Co., Ltd., to an entity owned by incumbent management on October 30, 2026. The transaction removes all manufacturing facilities and operations from China, aligning with the company's strategy to provide secure, NDAA-compliant optics for defense and commercial markets. Revenue from the divested unit, which averaged approximately $4.5 million annually in fiscal years 2025 and 2026, will no longer be included in consolidated results. The former subsidiary will continue as a third-party vendor supplying products to LightPath's U.S. and European commercial customers. LightPath Technologies is a leading provider of next-generation optics and imaging systems for defense and commercial applications.
