Laird Superfood appointed Matthew Spanjers as a director effective August 13, 2026. Spanjers serves as a designee of Gateway Superfood NSSIII Investment, LLC and Gateway Superfood NSSIV Investment, LLC (the Investor), an affiliate of Nexus Capital Management LP, pursuant to an investment agreement dated December 21, 2025. He will also serve on the compensation committee. Spanjers brings extensive food and beverage experience, having previously served as Chief Growth Officer at Krispy Kreme and holding senior roles at Caribou Coffee and Einstein Bros. Bagels. He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. As a non-employee director, he will receive cash compensation and stock options consistent with the company's existing program.
