MacroGenics announced positive interim Phase 1 data for MGC026, a B7-H3-directed antibody-drug conjugate. In heavily pretreated squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN) patients, MGC026 demonstrated a best overall response rate of 27% (6/22). The drug showed a manageable safety profile with no treatment-related discontinuations in this cohort. Based on these results, the company plans to initiate an expansion cohort in early 2027 evaluating MGC026 in combination with pembrolizumab for front-line SCCHN patients.
