MLABMesa Laboratories Inc

Mesa Laboratories approved a restructuring program eliminating approximately 40 positions, representing about 6% of its workforce, primarily within the Clinical Genomics division. The plan also includes exiting the Hamburg, Germany facility upon lease expiration in February 2027 and reducing the San Diego footprint. Management estimates pre-tax charges of $2.6 million to $3.4 million, with cash expenditures of $2.9 million to $3.7 million expected over the next 12 months. The company aims to reduce annualized operating costs by approximately $9.3 million and reinvest $4.3 million into growth areas like Calibration Solutions and Asia commercial resources, resulting in a net annualized cost reduction of roughly $5.0 million. Mesa Laboratories designs and manufactures quality control solutions and life sciences tools for regulated industries.
