Revenues increased 37% year-over-year to $217.1 million, driven by a 33% rise in entertainment offerings and a 56% jump in food, beverage, and merchandise sales. Operating income turned positive at $9.7 million, compared to a loss of $29.7 million in the prior year quarter, aided by the absence of long-lived asset impairments recognized previously. Adjusted operating income rose significantly to $34.3 million from $7.1 million. The company also repurchased approximately $25 million of Class A common stock during the quarter. Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. operates world-renowned live entertainment venues including Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall.
