Murphy Oil Corporation announced the appointment of Michol L. Ecklund as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, effective August 31, 2026. Ms. Ecklund brings over 25 years of legal and governance experience in the energy industry, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Anew Climate. She previously held senior leadership roles at Callon Petroleum Company and Marathon Oil Corporation. In her new role, she will oversee legal, compliance, governance, government affairs, land, sustainability, and risk management functions while reporting directly to CEO Eric M. Hambly. Murphy Oil Corporation is an independent oil and natural gas company with a multi-basin onshore and offshore portfolio.
