Netlist settles litigation with Micron and signs $600M patent license agreement

Netlist, Inc. entered into a Settlement Agreement with Micron Technology to resolve all pending legal proceedings between the parties. Concurrently, Netlist granted Micron a worldwide, non-exclusive five-year patent license covering its entire portfolio, including server DIMMs and High Bandwidth Memory technologies. Under the License Agreement, Micron will pay quarterly fees of $30 million for twenty quarters from Q4 2026 through Q3 2031, totaling $600 million. Additionally, Micron purchased 10 million shares of Netlist common stock for an aggregate cash price of $1 million under a Securities Purchase Agreement subject to lock-up restrictions.
