Annaly reports Q3 GAAP loss per share of $1.36 as EAD rises to $0.80

Annaly Capital Management reported a GAAP net loss attributable to common stockholders of $1.04 billion, or $1.36 per share, for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared to a net income of $781.6 million in the prior quarter. Earnings available for distribution (EAD) increased to $607.8 million, or $0.80 per average common share, up from $586.6 million in Q2 2026. The company declared a quarterly dividend of $0.75 per common share. Book value per common share declined to $17.86 from $20.15 at the end of June 2026, driven by unrealized losses on investments and derivatives that were excluded from EAD calculations. Annaly Capital Management is an internally-managed real estate investment trust that invests primarily in mortgage-related assets.
