U.S. Government commits $249M to Port MacKenzie Rail Extension supporting Nova Minerals

NVANova Minerals Corp

The U.S. Department of Transportation announced a $249 million federal grant to complete the final stages of the Port MacKenzie Rail Extension, covering approximately 80 percent of the $311 million project cost with state and local partners contributing the remaining $62 million. The new 32-mile rail line will connect the Alaska Railroad Corporation’s main line to Port MacKenzie, providing a direct transport link to Nova Minerals’ planned antimony processing and refining hub. This infrastructure development is intended to facilitate the shipment of critical minerals ore and concentrate feedstock from the Alaskan interior to global markets. Nova Minerals Corp operates in the mining sector, advancing undeveloped gold deposits and securing a domestic supply of critical minerals like antimony.
