NovoCure announced that Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare approved Optune Pax for treating unresectable locally advanced pancreatic cancer in adults, used concomitantly with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel. The approval was based on the Phase 3 PANOVA-3 trial, which demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in median overall survival compared to chemotherapy alone.
