NOVONIX triggered an amortisation event under its convertible debenture agreement with YA II PN, Ltd because its share price fell below the A$0.12 floor. The company must pay US$7,000,000 to redeem that portion of the debt by September 21, 2026, reducing the outstanding balance from US$35,000,000 to US$28,000,000. NOVONIX intends to fund this payment using existing cash reserves and faces ongoing obligations if the share price remains depressed. Separately, the company received feedback on a mass production qualification sample for its synthetic graphite anode material from a lead customer. The material met 12 of 14 specification parameters, with one result within approximately 1% of requirements. NOVONIX is addressing the remaining specifications and expects to begin mass production sales in the second half of 2027. NOVONIX operates in the battery materials industry, producing synthetic graphite anode active materials for lithium-ion batteries.
