Novartis raises FY core operating income guidance after Q3 sales grow 4% and core EPS rises 8%
NVSNovartis AG
Novartis reported third-quarter net sales of USD 14.5 billion, a 4% increase in constant currency, driven by strong growth in priority brands including Kisqali (+37%), Kesimpta (+22%), Scemblix (+67%), Leqvio (+63%), and Cosentyx (+9%). Core operating income rose 10% to USD 6.0 billion with a margin of 41.6%, while core earnings per share increased 8% to USD 2.46. Reported operating income declined 59% due to a USD 1.9 billion partial impairment charge on the del-desiran asset following negative Phase III results in myotonic dystrophy type 1. The company raised its full-year 2026 core operating income guidance from a low single-digit decline to low single-digit growth, while maintaining its net sales outlook at low single-digit growth. Novartis is an innovative medicines company focused on cardiovascular-renal-metabolic, immunology, neuroscience, and oncology therapeutic areas.
