PCVXVaxcyte, Inc.

Vaxcyte reported a third-quarter net loss of $297.1 million, compared to $212.8 million in the prior-year period, driven by higher R&D expenses of $270.3 million and G&A costs of $37.9 million. The company announced positive topline data from the OPUS-1 pivotal Phase 3 trial for its VAX-31 vaccine candidate, which met all prespecified primary immunogenicity endpoints in adults aged 50 and older. Management expects results from the subsequent OPUS-2 and OPUS-3 trials in the first half of 2027, supporting a planned BLA submission in early 2028. Additionally, Vaxcyte completed concurrent equity and convertible senior notes offerings in October 2026, raising approximately $1.1 billion in net proceeds to extend its cash runway. The company also appointed new Chief Medical Officer Luis Jodar and Chief Legal Officer David McAvoy. Vaxcyte is a clinical-stage vaccine innovation company engineering high-fidelity vaccines for bacterial diseases.
