Phio Pharmaceuticals reports Q3 net loss of $4.2M as cash falls to $10.6M

PHIOPhio Pharmaceuticals Corp.

Phio Pharmaceuticals reported a net loss of $4.2 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared to a $2.4 million loss in the prior-year period. The increase was driven by higher research and development expenses, which rose 159% to $3.0 million due to nonclinical toxicology study costs and drug substance production for its lead candidate PH-762. Cash and cash equivalents declined to $10.6 million from $21.0 million at the end of 2025. The company also announced that it has completed commercial-scale manufacturing of PH-762, submitted Phase 1b data to the FDA, and expects to initiate a Phase 2b study in the first quarter of 2027. Phio Pharmaceuticals is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company advancing siRNA gene silencing technology for cancer treatment.
