On July 9, 2026, Pliant Therapeutics increased its Board of Directors size from seven to nine members. The company appointed Robert Iannone, M.D., M.S.C.E. as a Class I director and Flavia Borellini, Ph.D. as a Class II director. Dr. Borellini was named chairperson of the Research and Development (R&D) Committee, and Dr. Iannone was appointed as a member of the same committee. Both directors will receive an annual retainer of $40,000, with additional R&D Committee retainers of $15,000 for Dr. Borellini and $7,500 for Dr. Iannone.
