Philip Morris International announced a contract manufacturing arrangement for combustible cigarettes with Philip Morris USA, an operating company of Altria Group Inc. The collaboration leverages the respective manufacturing capabilities of both organizations while PMI continues to focus on delivering a smoke-free future. First shipments are expected to begin early in 2027, subject to operational readiness and regulatory requirements. PMI stated it does not expect a material impact from this arrangement on its 2026 financials and confirmed that the company has no plans to commercialize combustible cigarettes in the United States.
