PGE submits Clean Energy Plan outlining up to 9,000 MW of resource additions by 2032
PORPortland General Electric Co
Portland General Electric Company submitted its 2026 Clean Energy Plan and Integrated Resource Plan to the Public Utility Commission of Oregon. The filing evaluates two portfolio pathways to meet state emissions targets while maintaining reliability. One pathway identifies 3,377 MW of resource additions needed by 2030 and over 5,000 MW by 2032. A second pathway requires 6,747 MW by 2030 to achieve an 80% emissions reduction target, with over 9,000 MW needed by 2032 for longer-term goals. The plan also highlights the need for transmission capacity expansion and advocates for a holding company structure to support capital access. PGE operates as an electric utility providing power in Oregon.
